Newt GingrichNewt.org is his website, he has not announced yet and has said that he will decide in late September. His unofficial biography can be found at en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Newt.

One thing to remember with all en.wikipedia.org articles is that all of them are not completely true so use only as a reference. Newt however has lots of political baggage from his days as Speaker.

Rudy GiulianiJoinrudy2008.com is his website, and a biography can be found at en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rudy_Giuliani Rudy is considered the front runner, but may have a problem with the “religious right” because of his pro-choice and gay rights positions.

John McCainJohnmccain.com is his website, and his biography can be found at en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_McCain

McCain was once considered the front runner, but has fallen greatly in the last months.

Mitt RomneyMittromney.com is his website, and his biography can be found at en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mitt_Romney

He is consider as a serious candidate, but will have to get the engine rolling and quick if he is to have a chance.

Duncan HunterGohunter08.com is his website, and his biography can be found at en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Duncan_Hunter

Duncan has served as Arm Services chairman and has been running on many issues, especially immigration. Hunter is considered a long shot candidate, but many on the “religious right” may favor a “long shot” because of the lack of another candidate that holds their beliefs.

He is also considered a “long shot” candidate, and has missed several senate votes.

Mike HuckabeeMikehuckabee.com is his website, and his biography can be found at en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mike_Huckabee

He is considered a “long shot” candidate and has had problems with conservative tax groups Such as the Club for Growth, because he raised both spending and taxes as governor.

He is again a long shot candidate.

Chuck Hagelhagel.senate.gov is his website, and his biography can be found at en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chuck_Hagel

He is a ant-Iraq republican and a moderate at best.

He is another “long shot” candidate.

Fred Thompson

Fred Thompson’s website is fred08.com and his biography en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fred_Dalton_Thompson

Thompson (not to confused with Tommy) showed very good in the last Gallup poll at around 13%. It was very good considering this was the first poll with him as a candidate, so for his first showing it was a impressive one.
